    Reviewed Chicken Tortilla Soup II

     |  By Eddie Shipman

"This was a good tortilla soup. I diced the chicken and sauteed with veggies instead of boiling & shredding. I am thinking two cans of Rotel instead of the can of diced tomato. I fired the extra corn tortillas and used those for garnish. Also, top it with lime juice, avacado and some cilantro. The 8 yield does make enough for 8 people. Easy and qui..."

"Add me to the believers of this recipe. I could never get fried rice right and didn't often try because of it. Thanks for this great recipe! The only thing I changed - I diced chicken (about 1.25 pounds, 1 can of water chestnuts, sliced a cup or so of cabbage and a tiny onion, and marinated it in stir fry sauce an hour or two before cooking. I ma..."

"The meat was way to dry for me. Taste was good and will consider using the sauce recipe for sliced roast beef from deli to make dips but won't try with a roast again."

"Easy to make! I followed the recipe but - didn't have dill weed, added a little thyme, threw in a handful of frozen broccoli I had, a handful of cheddar in the soup, and used chives rather than regular onion. I didn't think it was going to come together but I added just a tad extra flour&water and the soup came out perfect. 5 stars for working per..."

"This recipe was the Pillsbury Bake Off Winner in 1975. You really can't go wrong. It's whats for dinner tonight but with a little cheese, garlic, and assorted spices & veggies I have thrown in to add a little flavor. Don't use canned chicken (that's just gross and wrong but you can be lazy and use a rotisserie chicken to make prep easier."

"The taste of the chicken was quite good. I did have the soggy breading problem even though I cooked it on a rack. I would suggest marinating the chicken in ranch for an hour and for sure use Panko breadcrumbs, I only had regular. The ingredients were spot on."
