    About Me

I prefer to cook when I don't have to. I find cooking a wonderfully creative outlet, but right now I own a small Mom & Pop 10 room motel & must find meals I can fix early in the day, before check ins. Also things that hold well in case I get held up with guests.

Favorite cookbook is The Silver Palate, first one.

    Favorite Foods

My quiches are to die for. Very rich, decadent, artery clogging.

I also have a chicken pot pie in that same category. If I mess with a recipe it's usually to add heavy cream, rich cheeses, wine, etc. My favorite author is Marjorie Kinnon Rawlings. Check out her Cross Creek Cookery for more artery clogging recipes.
