    About Me

I love to write, but I also love to cook, so when I write stories I inevitably include a lot of detail about my favorite dishes. You can check out my stories at FictionPress.com under the username SeveRemus.

    Favorite Foods

I love Japanese food, having grown up in Japan, but I also love indulging in American fast food, too!  It's actually easier to tell you the few things that I don't like: uni, or raw sea urchin, is a great delicacy (i.e. expensive) in sushi, but I don't care for it unless it's used as a flavoring for osenbe (rice crackers).  I'm also not very fond of slimy things, simply because when I have to wipe my mouth often with a paper napkin, my lips become chapped!  So I prefer to have natto in ochadzuke so the hot tea cuts the slimy strings, and if I have to eat okra, I prefer it battered and fried.  I also discovered that I couldn't stomach the fish sauce used in southeastern Asian cuisine, since it's fermented, and I simply refuse to eat kusaya because of its hideous odor.  (Anything that smells like poo should not be consumed!)  I have a limit to how spicy my curry can be, too.  But other than the above exceptions, I like almost all food!  ^_^
