"I added the ff 1/2 & 1/2 at the start. It curdled, but I smashed with hand masher & used an electric mixer & it thickened up perfectly. No curdles! I also added red pepper flakes, a bit of dried thyme, basil & 2 small bay leafs. Smash hit at the soup New Years Eve party last night. Did not add all the salt, but salted to my taste."

"If you need it that quick, open the can. This a major soup for soup & sandwich night. `And ya know? Does't take all that taime. If you have tomatoes that need cooking--cook & freeze to make soup later Not hard--got all my washing done while I cooked the tomatoes.
