    About Me

    I have loved to cook and bake ever since I had to take junior high school Home Ec class. My family always teases me because they swear that I have never made the same thing twice. This could be true. Each night our dinner is determined by my mood, what I have in the pantry, and the time and effort I can put into it. This has resulted in about 7,845 different dinners over the years...

    I don't really create my own recipes, but have become more confident about tweaking. My fun was always in the search of that recipe that matched my foods and moods.

    I'm a counselor at a community college, an empty-nester now (did adopt two cats to replace the two kids), with a son in Fairfax VA and a daughter in Corvallis OR. My husband and love to explore and are fortunate to be able to travel as we had dreamed.

    We hope to move back West, as I grew up in Colorado and never felt like I belonged here in the East...ever. We have our eye on Oregon for the moment.

    Favorite Foods

    This changes from day to day...but I suppose I can always count on a pasta dish; anything with fruit in it or on it; cake (I love cake) and cookies....soups, stews, and adapting as many recipes as I can to cook on the grill during the warm months...
