    "I was going to post this until I saw it already listed. My sister-in-law sent this recipe to me. I did not have parchment paper so I used waxed paper. I lost two batches becuse of my oven temperture. The rest turned out okay with 9 minutes in the oven. Also, like Roseflr my first batch crumbled because I didn;t let them cool long enough. ..."

    Shared Recipe Batter Fried Meatloaf Slice

    "My husband made a very bland tasting meatloaf. The next day I cut the loaf into slices, dipped them in an egg and then seasoned flour and fried them as you would a chicken fried steak. Tasted pretty good with a white or brown gravy."

I wrote that for the presentation and texture I give it 5 stars. I thought it was a little sweet. I would never have thought of using a cake mix in cornbread. I think the glaze is very good...."

    About Me

    I wish to thank everyone who has reviewed and tried my recipes. I appreciate any helpful hints provided. I live in the Southwestern High Plains of Colorado. I have been collecting recipes since 1965. In 1987 I started going through my many books and clippings and making weekly menus. If I like the new recipes I try, I enter them in my own cookbook.
    I help our local veternarians with a State grant for low-cost spay/neuter of pets of low-income pet owners. My passions are (1)trying to better the lives of our animal friends through education and (2)cooking and (3) gardening. I have many cats, 1 dog, three chickens, one llama, one burro, one horse and one goat. We have two wonderful children and 2 grandchildren.

    Favorite Foods

    I love salads, Mexican food, and Italian. I love to try appetizers.
