Reviewed Homemade Rice a Roni
"Knocking off 2 stars because cooking time was NOT 10 minutes (took about 5 to 10 minutes just to brown the rice and pasta) and because it lacked flavor written as-is. I used ORZO pasta instead of cutting up spaghetti. Next time I will brown the rice first, then add the pasta and brown it sencond. Did everything as written except I added extra wa..."

"Easy and delicious! I added 1/2 jalepeno. Could use a little more kick, but it's perfect for my daughter's taste buds."

Reviewed Ma's Gnocchi
"This is almost the exact recipe I use, which I got from my mom's cousin. For each pound of Ricotta, I use only 3/4 pound of flour. Everything else is the same. I also buy fresh ricotta from the Italian Market and let it "drain" for a few days before using it so that might be why I only use 3/4 lb flour - it's not as "wet" as the grocery store co..."

HI! I'm married and have a spunkly little daughter. DH and I both LOVE to eat (and so does our daughter), and fortunately, I love to cook. I took 5 years of cooking classes in school and can follow a recipe to perfection, but it never really taught me how to be CREATIVE.
Since joining Zaar, I've found many wonderful recipes and I'm starting to explore more with adding a pinch of this or a pinch of that to my old recipes. Spices have always scared me when it comes to experimenting/being creative, but I'm learning.
As of this year, I started back doing the one thing I really love...baking! I took a decorating class and one thing led to another so now I make cakes for people. I really love it and hope someday to actually open my own bake shop. So for now, I'm baking for family and friends.
When I'm not on my cooking and baking sprees, I'm chasing after my daughter. She keeps us super busy. When I get a break from that, I enjoy doing my crafts. I make paper mache keepsake boxes and artsy-*****y piggy banks.
Here are just a few things I love to make - both cakes and papier mache:
Holiday Edition:
The Original Booby Box(tm)
Wooda & Friends(tm) Keepsake Box
Le Wooda Bank(tm)

I love just about everything.

"This is my mom's recipe that we grew up on. I love it because it isn't too sweet. I don't like most cannoli's you find at restaurants. They are sickenly sweet. This filling is light and creamy!"
