"Flavour was wonderful, but i had problems... I thought I had a roast but instead all I could find were round steaks. I would not advice repeating this substitution. When serving, we had to cube the steaks because they just wouldn't be pulled!! Meat was a little chewy but still had great taste and we served it with rice. I would definitel..."
"Very tasty and different than plain green beans. Left the beans whole, and sliced onions and peppers in long strips. Due to health considerations, I used just a few shakes of cheese. Will make this again when I want to impress company (or just the family)."
"YUM. Normally I don't like using packages, but I had a half frozen pork roast staring at me and this recipe sounded perfect and it was. I didn't use the pork juices because the meat was juicy enough. Thanks for a great recipe."
"Fabulous! Only comment as people came back for thirds was "they are kinda bland". What?? Next time, I will add more garlic, and maybe try stock instead of water. I didn't peel my potatoes, so it was a very easy recipe. Served with roast pork but would compliment any entree. Thanks for a keeper!"
"As usual, I changed things up... I used fresh broccoli and frozen pre-cooked shrimp. Tossed everything together and roasted it. By the time the shrimp was ready, the broccoli was perfectly steamed. Beautiful flavour, easy and healthy. I didn't award stars because I totally changed the recipe!"
"Great beans. I used canned tomatoes and 2 tsp. chili powder (we are spice wimps) instead of rotel tomatoes. And added 1 sliced green pepper just before serving because DS hates cooked peppers. I liked the texture due to the green pepper and I am thinking we could handle a tad more chili powder next time."
"The family is NOT into cornbread but I was making chili and this seemed like a great time to try the recipe. I have a 10 inch cast iron, so I did 1 1/2 times the recipe. The result was good but crumbly which could be blamed on me using only 1 egg. Next time I would add a second egg."
