"I'll have to admit to being a bit skeptical about this recipe...it seemed just toooo easy. Was I ever surprised!!!! This is TERRIFIC!! I did add a little olive oil to the bacon drippings as I guess the bacon I used must have been a bit on the lean side. I held back on the salt per ColCadsMom's suggestion only using about half of what the recipe called for and used beer...EXCELLENT!!!! "O M G!!!! This is nothing short of fantastic!!! I have to admit to being a bit worried about the spice combinations but decided to try it. No regrets here!!!
