    About Me

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my page. I guess I should start out by saying a little bit about myself. Well, I'm 14 and I'm in love with food. Ever since I was very little, I was fascinated with it. My dad would come home from work every night, just to see me religiously watching the Food Network. Not every 4 year old wants to watch Rachel Ray or Sandra Lee. As I got older, my interest in the kitchen only grew stronger. I loved baking cookies with my grandma or helping my mom make soup. I remember my first time using the oven all by myself. I was 8 years old and it was a frozen pizza at my grandmas house. I was so scared, but it was so thrilling!

When I was 11, I started cooking for real, by myself. I made a lot of pasta. I look back on all of the casseroles that we ate. They must've tasted terrible! I was still just learning and I was dedicated to it. I took over my kitchen at 12 and started making every meal around my house.

Now, at 14, I've developed dozens of recipes on my own, made hundreds of dishes and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I spend countless hours every month learning about food. It's my passion. I learned most of it from my favorite show, Good Eats with Alton Brown. He is my favorite celebrity, and October 13th 2011 was one of the best days of my life. Why? He held a book signing in my town and I was lucky  enough to have the opportunity to go. He did a question and answer thing and I was in the very front row. Sitting six feet away from Mr. Brown was pretty cool. He called on me to ask a question and it meant a lot to me. Here are a couple of pictures that we took :) At the time, I was 12 and I had just recently shaved my head. If you're wondering why, I can honestly say that I have no idea why. I was 12 and I wanted to do something different. Just for fun. Almost 2 years later, it's much longer now and boy, am I happy! I enjoyed every minute of it though.

Because of Good Eats, I'm not just into cooking, I'm into the science behind cooking. That's what I truly love.

    How I rate:

    5 stars = Absolutely amazing.

    4 stars = Very good

3 stars = Its okay, but I wont make it again

    2 stars = I didn't like it.

1 star = It was terrible. I must've messed up somewhere

    Favorite Foods

I'm not picky whatsoever, although, there are a few foods that I can't stand.

    Peanut Butter

    Trix Cereal

    Goat Cheese

And that's IT. If someone put a chocolate covered cricket in front of me, I would probably eat it. Probably is the keyword there. ;)

Also, most of the recipes that I post are recipes that I've developed. If not, they're family recipes(:

My signature dish is my Brown Rice Risotto, which is always evolving and changing. If you try it, please review and tell me how I can make it better. :)

But as far as my favorite foods go, wow. I don't even know where to start.......... Well, all vegetables, and most fruits. Oh, and cheese! No, not Kraft Cheddar, or Velveeta, but Cheese's like Reserve Gouda, Amish Blue Cheese, and Italian Fontina. Tasty! Garlic is one of my favorites for sure! If the recipe calls for one clove, I put in four. Haha! Oh, and you can't have garlic without onions! I put onions and garlic in almost everything. My favorite spice is, without a doubt, cumin. Yumm! I also like Caramel Sea Salt Ice Cream. I make Indian Style food a lot, so Indian food is my favorite type of food. My favorite dish is the veggie korma from my local Indian restaurant. As long as it's mild!

    I love it all!
