"We have a wonderful shelter here for women and children. I have been asked to teach a class on cooking budget friendly, healthy meals. I have many recipes and there certainly are many on this site, however, I want to cull them and pick real winners. Many of the women are Hispanic, but they cross all sociology-economic lines. It is absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, it is no longer healthy, but what the heck? Now and then you can splurge. I must admit that I couldn't quite make myself use as much butter and cream as was called for and can only imagine it to be decadent with it all.""

I'm giving this a 4 because 6 our of 8 of my guests said they loved it. I thought it was too sweet and an UGLY cake. My cream cheese mixture also didn't sink and the cake looked like the craters of the moon. I cut way back on the sugar for the glaze and it was still too sweet for my tastes. I have no idea what happened to the bite sized almo"

"A bunch of friends are doing a pot luck. We all had to draw for what we are to bring. My contribution is to be "a chicken casserole (but not Italian or Mexican) and nothing with canned soup. Should be attractive and not look like Grandma's with crushed potato chips." As you can tell, the hostess is a character. The prohibitions against Mexic..."

This is excellent without the ham. It is served like this all over Italy and is surprising in its' simplicity. I guess the olive oil might have been a few cents more. Anyway, it's a classic....
