    About Me

I am a writer and book-author and I live on a small island in the north sea and in a big city in Germany. Most of my published books are novels. None of them is translated into english until now, but two into korean. At the moment I am working at my ninth novel. A cookbook come out 2005. To read and to try recipes is a good way to get away from work. My kids think, that our money is coming out of the wall and that mum is playing computer games all day long. But this is not true. (I worte this two years ago, in the meantime, they grew)
I have been collecting cookbooks and recipes for the past 20 years, and I love to cook for my family and friends. I love all seasons but the best season to write is winter. For cooking I prefer the summer.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite restaurants are Japanese restaurants all over the world and some tiny italian or french places over here in Europe. The best restaurant of my life was a place in Chicago, the second best a restaurant in San Diego and the third best a restaurant in Hongkong. I love the darkest chocolate, all spicy food, the taste of lemons, raw fish, the texture of peaches, the flavour of cinamon, koriander, light sauces, old and heavy red wines, the sounds of freshly baked bread, capuccino with a chocolate heart on the milk foam, lobster with vinegar, pink chewing gum, salmon in a salt-crust,garden-grown peppermint, extremely large and high birthday-cakes not baked by myself, eatable blossoms, peanutbutter with yellow jelly, too hot christmas-cookies directly out of the oven, old fashioned caramel pudding, primerib, gloegg, the first spring onions of the year, self picked berries, cucumber sandwiches, ugly fruit pudding and cold chicken, a sandwich for me made by my eight year old sons, champaign, fresh strawberries, hering, and picknics wtih no or just a few ants. And I love to make self-cooked shoe-polish for the many men in my family once a year.
