I'm fully retired now and sharing kitchen chores with DW, and loving it. For so many years we ate "through it together" meals and now I have the time to plan and cook a great meal. A can of Campbells and balogna is now home made tomato soup and a light BLT. DW doesn't mind that I have bullied my way into the kitchen, she says it keeps me off the streets, lol, besides she has worked long enough in there, now it's my turn. I'm just learning about canning and preserving And YES, I clean up.
Not to interested in the fancy or complicated meals. We enjoy the rather light [low carb] diets. Fresh fish, veggies and fruits are not readly available here so most things need thawing, but I'm good at that.
