"I am giving this 5 stars because it makes perfectly soft chewy cookies, not hard crunchy ones. I baked them for the full 10 minutes and followed the recipe exactly. The only thing I would change is the amount of cloves - I agree with those who say it's too much cloves. Thanks for the great recipe Myrna 2!"

"I'm with snappingfish - it's a no brainer can't fail recipe that is delicious. That's all I need! I also cooked it in a big cast iron skillet with a lid. I used pork country style ribs. I used smoked paprika instead of regular and montreal steak seasoning instead of season salt. Also, baked them for 1 hour with no sauce, then drained off the ..."

"I must have measured the milk wrong because the sauce was way too runny. I had to thicken it with an egg yolk and added parmesan cheese directly to the skillet instead of just sprinkling it on top. Also the flavor was sort of bland so I cooked up some italian sausage and added it to the mixture.
I will make this again, being sure to m..."

"Delicious! They were done in 5 hours though on low in my crockpot. If I had cooked them longer they would have been overdone. I added a tomato which was slightly past it's prime. Boiled it til it was soft, then seeded and coarsely chopped it. I used Mexican oregano instead of Italian. Next time, I'm going to add a tad bit of jalapeno ..."

"I agree with those that said something was missing. I love salmon and the ingredients sounded like they should work well together... but... somehow it just had no flavor. The method of cooking produced a moist and not overcooked salmon, but not very pretty to look at. Oh well."

"I'm sorry, maybe I did something wrong but it wasn't very flavorful at all. The texture and color were nice, but it looked much better than it actually tasted. Bland. I even doubled the soy sauce ingredients. I broiled as in the directions so I don't know where I went wrong. If I try it again, I will probably add brown sugar to th ..."

"Thecake would probably be dry if you over-mixed it. Also, it looked like it was done before it was actually baked through. I baked it a little longer until it tested done. It is delicious though, just sweet enough, not overly sweet. I will make it again."

"This bakes beautifully in my 1.5 qt. ceramic covered dish. I don't use the aluminium foil. Tasty~!"

"I have been making this on top of the stove for years. It is so much better roasted in the oven!! I did not have onion soup mix so I used some fresh herbs from my garden, some garlic and some chopped onion and garlic, s and p and assorted seasonings from my cupboard. I also did not use canola oil. I used a cast iron skillet for the baking dish...."

"The seasonings were just right and that's been a long time problem for me. I added a cup of good carbernet and a cup of beef stock. Also threw in some baby portobellos cut in 8th's. I did the flour thing instead of cornstarch, that is, I tossed the meat in flour and browned it. I also carmelized the onions per previous reviewer's s ..."
