Reviewed Bacon Cheeseburger (Stove-Top) Casserole
"The whole family ate this one up. Unfortunately, I didn't have but one can of tomato soup, so I improvised and used the one can of soup and one 15 oz. can of tomato sauce. Actually worked out great for the amount of meat. One word of caution...I forgot to reduce the salt as I always salt my pasta water very well. End result was a little on the salt..."

Reviewed Bacon Cheeseburger (Stove-Top) Casserole
"The whole family ate this one up. One word of caution...I forgot to reduce the salt as I always salt my pasta water very well. End result was a little on the salty side for us, but definitely still good. I waited until just before I put the cheese on before I stirred in the bacon (which I baked) simply to keep it crispier longer. Thanks for sharing..."

Reviewed Cheesy Apple Breakfast Quesadillas
"All in all, it's a good recipe. The kids liked it and there weren't any left. I made this recipe as directed and think that the next time I try it, I will make a few small changes. First, I will use either cooking spray, a lot less butter, or nothing instead of 1 Tbsp. butter for browning the quesadillas. I like butter, but with the sour cream, it ..."

Reviewed Easy Skillet Cheese-Topped Chili Macaroni
"This was a very simple, quick and easy dish. The kids liked it just fine, but we adults thought it was extremely bland. This is a great meal when you're short on time and need something the kids will like, even the picky eaters."

I live in smalltown USA, otherwise known as Cannon Falls, MN. Fun is spending time with my family and friends or alone with my husband, any of which rarely happens any more. I am now a stay-at-home mom with three great kids (ages 16, 8, and 2), with a fourth on the way.
I was never taught how to cook. Through the recipes I find, I learn a little more each day. I enjoy American and Italian foods most, while I don't care for Asian or Hispanic cuisine at all. That's mostly due to my loathing of all things bell, jalapeno, chile, and you-name-it-I-loathe-it peppers, (meaning all peppers that are not cracked pepper as a seasoning). You had me at steak...and desserts. I absolutely love desserts. I have quite the sweet tooth, but sometimes I find things that are too sweet.
My tastes are broadening. There are things that I never wanted to try that I get cravings for, or I just get brave enough to finally try something different. I think that this is the biggest reason that cooking and baking have finally piqued my interests. Plus side is, I'm pretty good at both, but not confident enough to start creating my own recipes. For now, I have learned I can modify things to taste, but I usually try and make a recipe as written the first time, always.
