"This was the first time I made jam in the microwave and I must admit I prefer stirring on a stove but the jam came out perfectly. Jam from fresh strawberries is absolutely delicious."

"Any recipe that can stand up to as many changes as I made and still taste good is a keeper.
I used an all-purpose gluten free flour mix instead of wheat flour (if you are coeliac, make sure the oats are certified gluten free. I added 1/2 cup of chocolate bits and 1/4 cup of cocoa. Next time I'm going to grind the oats in a food processor firs..."

"This is a great all purpose recipe, I use a similar one all the time. If you use brown rice flour instead of plain rice flour it becomes nutritious, otherwise it works well but is lacking in nutrition.
Five stars the way it is, maybe eight with brown rice flour."

"These are really good. I may have made them a little thinner than in the recipe but our scale broke and we are waiting for a replacement and I don't know if I had the right amount of flour. The recipe made 22 instead of 18 but we like having two for breakfast on Saturday so that was fine. Store bought crumpets in New Zealand have far too much salt..."

"I found this exact recipe in a magazine. I couldn't believe it would work but tried it and found the cookies excellent. They even looked exactly like the picture on the cover. I weigh the dough so they all come out exactly the same. The hardest part of making these cookies is measuring out the peanut butter! My sister made them with low fat peanut..."

"Wow, these are just as good as the traditional painstaking boil-on-the-stove and keep an eye on the thermometer version. My second batch was perfect, if a little soft. I cooked in a large pyrex measuring cup which is nice and deep and did stick a thermometer in it after six minutes then zapped it for another half minute. I'll try seven minutes nex..."

"These are great. This year I used coconut cream instead of sweetened condensed milk because my husband has developed a lactose allergy. I can honestly say they are just as good and you can't even taste the coconut flavor."

"I just made an almost identical recipe that didn't include cocoa or chocolate chips which is funny because I usually put chocolate chips in any cookie or cake recipe. The recipe I used had raisins instead but they were so similar I feel confident in reviewing this recipe.
It was so easy pureeing the green tomatoes in my blender after cutting t..."

"My DH and I loved these. I didn't know how it could possibly work but it did. They were chewy and crisp. I think I overcooked them but didn't really know what I was aiming for. Next time I'm going to cut down on the butter as they were greasy. Also, I used a gluten free flour mixture but that didn't seem to matter."

"I had forgotten this popular New Zealand dessert until I had it at a buffet recently and really liked it. My DH is gluten intolerant so I made this 10 minute version with a gluten-free flour mix with an extra teaspoon of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to compensate for not using self-raising flour. It was quick and delicious and I'll make ..."
