    Shared Recipe Scottish Morning Rolls

"Scottish Morning Rolls are called Baps in some parts of Scotland. They are best served warm, as soon as they come out of the oven. Favorited by many for breakfast with a fried egg and bacon. Recipe found in The World Guide to Bread by Christine Ingram and Jennie Shapter"

Reviewed Thai Coconut Cake With Mango Sauce

"I will make this again and try to perfect it. I am sure I just need to get used to it. I ended up overcooking it because I had too small of a pan for it (small loaf pan instead of tube pan) and this meant the inside didn;t get cooked while the outside did. I wasn;t real good at folding in the egg whites and I had a some other mixing incon..."

    Reviewed Quick Yogurt Scones

"A good recipe and I am glad to have found it. The first time I made it to recipe but omitted raisins as we avoid sulphites and I used butter. The only issue I had was the baking soda flavor came through. Since then I have made them omitting the baking soda and increasing the baking powder to 1tbs and omitting the sugar as well. I also prefer them a..."

Shared Recipe Fish Baked in a Pad Thai Coconut Sauce

"Tonight I had nothing thawed so I pulled out some fish fillets and put this together. I was suprised how yummy it turned out. The stir fry veges I used had beans, broccoli, cauliflower, baby corn, capsicum (red bell pepper) and pinapple. If your stir fry veges don't have the capsicum and pinapple I highly suggest adding some in, they may contribute..."

Reviewed Lemon & Thyme Butter-Basted Roast Chicken (Gluten-Free)

"Yum! I love lemon with my chicken. I had pretty big lemons so I think I used more than I needed to. I had to use rubbed thyme because I don;t have access to fresh right now. Would like to try it again with fresh thyme and use less lemon. I also need to lower my temperature, seems my oven may run hot. Made for Aus/NZ Recipe Swap #76!"

    About Me

Hi there. I used to be 'mariahswind' on here but I changed to YnkyGrlDwnndr because I am once again an American living in Australia! Of the last nearly 15 yrs I've spent about 3 yrs in the US and the rest here in Australia. I've lived in QLD, NSW and now Tasmania!

My cooking aims to make everything from scratch. With so many additives in food I look to make as much as I can from the basic ingredients.

    Favorite Foods

My all time favorite cuisine is Mexican!
My favorite dessert would be cheesecake.
My favorite main meal is enchiladas
My Favorite fast food would have to be a Whopper with Cheese from Burger King/Hungry Jacks
    I love coffee too!
