    About Me

I am married with one daughter who just turned one. My Husband and I go through our fazes of eating healthy and of eating junk. He has been working very hard at his career and has made it possible for me to be a stay at home mom. I figure the least I can do as a thanks for all his hard work is cook him a good meal every night. I also want to set a good example for my daughter and show her a healthier way of living.

I grew up in a home where my mom made everything from scratch all my memories of her are in the kitchen. She taught me a lot about cooking and baking. I don't know why I haven't put the skills she gave me to more use. I wish I had been practicing my cooking with her over the last few years. She has been diagnosed with early onset alzheimer's and I don't know if I can remember all she taught me now that I am cooking again. She is no longer able to cook nor can she give direction so I guess I will just have to do the best I can.

Here's hoping I can stay motivated and get my family eating a variety of healthier foods. No more fast food for us!
