    About Me

    I enjoy baking ... mostly cookies.  In December 2009, at the request of a friend, I baked and sold my Mac Nut Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies.  They were nicely packaged and suitable for gift-giving -- one day, I hope to be able to make a living that way!

    I have two older kitties that keep me entertained!  Sneakers turned 17 on 2/20/10 and Rascal, a diabetic guy that needs insulin injections twice a day, will be 14, this Summer.

    Several times a week, I'm here at the 'Zaar, looking at the Recipe Reviews and saving ones I'd like to make, to my personal Cookbooks.


    Favorite Foods

    Without a doubt, I'm most often asked to make my Mac Nut Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies -- they're a buttery, rich, slightly crumbly and extrememly addicting!

    I rarely cook a full meal, but do enjoy making Turkey Burgers with the seasoning mix from Williams-Sonoma and for comfort, I make a simple but tasty Fried Rice, featuring Oscar Mayer-brand Turkey Smoked Sausage, Green Onions and topped with Scrambled Eggs.

    I eat out often, especially for lunch, and prefer light and fresh cuisines like Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai.  Currently, my favorites are the Spicy Pacific Salad Roll from the Whole Foods deli and the Calamari Salad from Assaggio's, a local Italian restaurant.
