"I have been searching for this recipe forever!! I grew up on Long Island and have very fond memories of bakery cookies on Sundays, these are one of my favorites! "After reading other reviews and trying it for myself, I have to agree it is more of a banana bread than cake to me, so I made it again, this time in two loaf pans and topped it with (butter/flour/sugar crumbles and mini chocolate chips, it was all gone in one evening. I definatly love the recipe, just as a banana bread instead of a cake!!"
