     |  By amybeth4

"I made this Christmas Eve 2012 for me and six friends and everyone loved it! I followed the recipe exactly...okay not 100%. My breast was 7.8 pounds so each ingredient got a little "dash" extra to accommodate the bigger bird. Also I had a guest who's quite anti-alcohol so I used 1/2 cup wine and 1/2 cup College Inn chicken broth. I ..."

But man do these cookies taste GREAT!!!"

I did double the amount of anise to 1/4 tsp in the icing and it was fabulous.

"About 8-10 years ago friends of mine and I went to a bookstore and went through her book and stood there writing down the recipe because one of them had made it once before and didn't know how to make it. It was well worth the trip. Just amazing. Esp. when you dunk crusty bread into the broth. WOW."
