    About Me

My DH introduced me to Zaar which seems to be a constant resource for dinner ideas. We enjoy being creative and adventurous with food. Often, we will recreate dishes we have had at restaurants, which is quite a budget saver since I am a full-time student.
Some of my favorite recipes come from a collection put together by our family as a wedding gift. Outside of family recipes it is rare that we have repeats.
We try to shop local / organic and avoid canned foods if there is an alternative. We enjoy our potted herb garden and look forward to having a yard of our own to someday expand our garden.

    Favorite Foods

Sushi hits the top of our list for favorites. Probably because it's the one food we reserve for dining out (haven't adventured into DIY-sashimi). One of our favorite restaurants is Japanieros, a Japanese / Latin American fusion restaurant in Sugar Land, TX.
