    About Me

I may be a country girl and cook like one...

I like to add a little something special to my dishes, that makes them unmistakeably mine.

And I love preparing old fashioned dishes, we seldom see these days.

I am mom to 3 and gr'ma to 4. I have a wonderful hubby, family and friends. I am so grateful for them all. God has surely blessed me.

I started cooking at age 4 with my grandmother, and on my own for my younger siblings when I was 9. Aint telling how many years ago that was. : )

    Favorite Foods

    I don't have a favorite dish; But....

My brother always wants me to make him lasagna.

Another brother always wants my tomato soup. (secret is addition of butter garlic and black pepper)

My daughter's request my stuffed bell peppers and mashed taters or roasted turkey and homemade dressing.

My son's favorite is meat. Any kind prepared in any way...and he will try it all.

Oldest granddaughter whines that she needs chocolate at all times, and my two grandsons are my cookie monsters.

Hubby teases that he married me for my cooking ability.

But he can cook; some things he can cook even better than I can.

My father told me when I was in my 20's that I cook like a grandma. Guess grandma taught me well.
