    About Me

    I'm originally from Northern California / Bay Area where I enjoyed dining out in San Francisco, Monterey, the Peninsula and north to the wine country. The restaurants and flavors found in these areas have shaped my culinary personality, which ranges from simple, healthy fish entrees to middle eastern and mediterranean staples.

    Now that I'm living in the San Diego area -and have two small children - dining out has become much less adventurous and romantic (read: fish tacos, good mexican and fresh fish). I do enjoy making healthy, flavorful foods for my little boy...who will try almost anything! I'm hoping my baby girl will have the same appetite.

    I still make my signature Chicken Piccata, which is inspired by the dish I ordered at Original Joes in San Jose. My current interest is to learn how to make healthy, flavorful meals using a "slow" cooker (so that dinner can be faster) and get back to basics baking my family home-made goodies and breads.

    Favorite Foods

    Fish (Salmon, OpakaPaka, Halibut)
    Lobster (preferrably east coast)
    Curry and other interesting spice blends
    Lamb (especially middle eastern flavors)
    Citrus marinades
    Creamy soups (chicken, wild rice)
    Tomato, Basil, Mozzarella
    Goat cheese and herbs
    Chocolate, Caramel (and / or a combination of the two)
