"These taste almost exactly like Cracker Barrel biscuits. I loved these. The only change I would make would be to try and skip the kneading, so the biscuits would be fluffier. I used regular buttermilk. Oh, and my biscuit bottoms cooled way quicker than the tops, so put them on the top rack."

"This was great. It was so easy to make. To save calories, I left out the crackers and used 3/4 cup of greek yogurt, instead of 1 cup sour cream. I left everything else the same. Loved it! "

"I am not a big fan of carrot cake, and I loved this. I added 1 cup of raisins instead of nuts, but the raisins seemed a bit dry. I saw other reviewers had soaked them in rum first, so next time I will either try that, or leave them out. I also baked for 35 minutes in two 9" rounds. I made no other changes.....and leave the butter as is. M ..."
