I have been in the kitchen cooking for as long as I can remember. I can recall the day my grandmother taught me how to properly slice an onion and how to beat fresh whipped cream. Although cooking takes a lot of time and energy...planning menus, grocery shopping, prepping etc....in my opinion it is worth the effort and priceless in terms of keeping my family happy and healthy.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy decadent desserts and comfort food as much as the next person (maybe even more:-0) Everything in moderation!
I am a bona fide foodie!! I love thai food, the spicier the better.
Actually, Asian inspired food has to be my favorite and I could eat rice everyday if I had to. I love all fruits and veggies. I really enjoy a nicely prepared salad. Seafood rates high as well and we eat a lot of fish, shrimp and crab. We grill year round and I think grilling even twice a week is a perfect way to maintain a healthy weight.
Finally, I am a lover of all soups and always order them when we dine out and make them a lot for dinner during the cooler months.
