Reviewed Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce
"This is my new "go to" recipe for alfredo sauce. SO good. So not good for you:) I didn't have the full 2 quarts of cream, so I ended up with the recipe being about 1/2 milk and 1/2 cream. Also, I had to replace with Parmesan cheese instead of the Fontina. It still came out delicious. This makes a lot of sauce too."

Reviewed Tomatoes Crunchy, Juicy, Sweet...(Bursting Tomato)
"Made with red, ripe tomatoes and they were delicious. Didn't have any goat cheese on hand, so used feta and it was still yummy. Was also out of bread crumbs and used Panko instead - think it was great. Used a bit more of the Panko and Italian seasoning. Would be great served aside a juicy steak and a great mesclun salad. Thanks. BTW I now cal..."

My passions: faith, family, food, and anything family history related. Almost nothing I like more than to chase headstones of my dearly departed ancestors. I've been working on a family cookbook for almost 2 years. (Need to figure out how I want to actually print it.) Enjoy learning about how what I grew up eating relates to my ancestors from Croatia and Alsace primarily. Enjoy following and forming new traditions within the walls of my home.
Some would say I lead a very boring and mundane life. I would say it's just what I ordered. I have the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom - which is what I truly love. Feel it's the best calling anyone could ever have. I've truly been blessed!
Moved to rural America several months ago. LOVE IT!!!
I love food! Having said that I go through many phases. At times I crave comfort foods; those homey dishes that remind you of mom.
At other times, I'm addicted to anything ethnic. I will crave a different ethnic food every day for weeks on end. I'm lucky to have two beautiful daughters who share this passion. (Oh, and a husband too.)
I have times when I work at being really frugal; gardening, harvesting, canning, freezing, etc. I enjoy learning about wild edibles. Wish I knew more.
Enjoy learning new things related to all of the above.
I would have to say I am probably most famous for the Indian meals I fix on occasion. However, I have to give most of the credit for these great meals to Madhur Jaffrey's cookbooks.
