I am a stay at home mom. We just moved to Midland, TX from AZ. My husband closed our business due to the economy, was out of work for 7 mos. and was blessed with a very good job here in TX. So we are practicing our Y'ALL, as to fit in here. I have 4 kids ages 23, 13, 8 & 5. Our 23 yr old daughter is married and has a 19 mos. old daughter and is still in AZ. Boy do I miss them. I went from living the rural life on 2.5 acres to a city life, it's an adjustment but a good one so far (it's only been a week).
I love to garden, can & dehydrate. I make my own bread from the wheat that I grind and make homemade jelly for my kids. I am working toward being as self sufficient as I can.
I have a weakness for Italian food. I am not a picky eater I will pretty much try almost anything. I love my veggies I wish I could get my husband on board to eating more healthy I could soooo be a part time vegetarian. I still like a good steak occasionally.
I love to cook soups and stews I could eat soup everyday without getting bored, they taste fabulous, they feed a lot of people and they are simple to make. Why open a can when you could whip up homemade and know what all your ingredients are and can pronounce them.
