Reviewed Banana " Ice Cream "
    Handle
     |  By Geema

"We hated this! It tastes just like frozen baby food puree. I don't know what I was expecting since the ingredients are just bananas, milk, and vanilla, but I was really hoping for something somewhat reminiscent of ice cream, and this was not even close. I threw out most of the batch."

"Very good! Added 2 tsps of cinnamon to make cinnamon ice cream. Used 1 c. heavy cream and 2 c. half and half for liquid, because it's what I had on hand. I chose this recipe because it required no cooking - one step easier than most other ice cream recipes and less dishes to wash. Would definitely make again and play with flavors and add-ins...."

"We loved this recipe! It can easily be lightened with lowfat cream cheese, and is a great way to get lots of fiber and veggies. I didn't have a problem with the cream cheese melting, and I also played with the ingredients- extra salsa, white corn, extra chicken- a very forgiving recipe if you want to change amounts. Will definitely make this on..."

"Don't make the mistake I did by trying to cram this into a small dish- I even used a 10 inch square Corningware, thinking the extra 2 inches would be enough to accommodate. It isn't! Use a large casserole for this recipe! (Haven't tried it yet, so I'm not reviewing, just giving a heads up for those about to cook this."

"This was absolutely delicious!! Pretty easy to put together, and wonderfully rich. The only thing I would do different next time is add less brewed coffee- the coffee taste overpowered the chocolate taste at times. All in all- an amazing recipe!"
