    About Me

Hi, I am originally from Minnesota, and moved to Southwestern Missouri 5 years ago. My husband & I lived in Missouri for 2 years, and then moved to Florida's Gulf Coast for 2 years. We have since returned to Missouri, and live in the Ozark Mountains, on beautiful Table Rock Lake. I own a residential & commercial cleaning business and enjoy working for myself. I enjoy quilting, gardening, cooking, exploring and traveling, but since I am mainly a home-body, I enjoy just puttering around the house. I have no favorite cookbook (seems constricting) and my husband has done most of the cooking for the past 5 years and loves to BBQ...but I have found myself missing the "comfort foods" of home and the north, those hot dishes and creamy casseroles that tasted so good on those cold winter nights. So, to satisfy my tastebuds, and needing more than steaks and brauts from the grill, I went online and came across this wonderful website!! I like that fact that there are so many recipes that are made of simple and basic ingredients that most of us already have stocked in our cupboards.

    Favorite Foods

Now that I have taken up cooking again, I have no favorite dish, and I am having a great time discovering all the new recipes that are at my fingertips, thanks to this website. Once a month I spend a day cooking up my favorite dishes and freezing them. They come in so handy when we have unexpected guests, or when I just don't feel like cooking when I come home from work. I think my husband likes it as well, as he now has somebody to cook for him. It's all good!
