I think I've become a foodie! Fresh! Homemade! is my montra. lol I love to cook for my family. Figuring outnew ways to get in veggies for a family of 10 is my biggest challenge. Right now I'm planning and playing around with canning and growing produce! My goal is to be self reliant as a family.
My taste tend to lean more toward Asian and Italian, but I have a love for Soul Foods.

"Southern Maryland style Fried Chicken. I've used John Shields recipe for fried chicken for "Special Occasions" for many years now. The recipe requires marinating, then flouring and finally frying. I usually cook for a family of ten so this is a large recipe for a crowd."
