    About Me

I love to Bake! usually on Sunday afternoons when I am at home with my family after church. Working full time like a lot of you out there, that is my only time. I look forward to someday having plenty of time for my baking. I cruise the site on Saturdays looking for good baking recipes I might want to whip up. We have Raspberries,Rhubarb,Blueberries, and Marion berries out in our garden, so I have plenty of fruit to keep me busy in the spring and summer. I also enjoy making fresh jam for my family and being able to have it year round in the freezer.
I live in the Pacific Northwest. I have lived here most of my life, having been born in Pasadena and moving to the country as a child of 12. I love it here, the climate is pretty mild. I have the mountains, the beach, and high desert all within two hour or three hours drive. But most of all, I enjoy the beach. Time taken for me at the Pacific Coastline revies me when I am worn out and stressed. So I try to take time when I can and travel to the beach to relax.
What I enjoy to do for fun is being outdoors camping and traveling. I love the wildlife and nature, it is so calming. A short hike in the woods is wonderful. I love to do hand stitching. Especially, I love counted cross stitch. I am recently working on Angel Of Hope, and my second family tree piece(I have two boys) one for each of my boys to have.
It's that time of year and I have the garden in and am enjoying the out of doors. Lots ot tomatos, cukes, beans, zuchinni and pumpkin. I just picked the seasons first raspberries out of our garden, and made them into a wonderful batch of jam. Yum... we love both raspherry and strawberry jam. We have blueberries, Marionberries,Raspberries and Rhubarb. So that gives of lots of fresh fruit every summer to eat and make into jams and jellies.
Hummm....Pet Peeve, oh I have one. I hate it when you forget to wipe your feet at the door coming into the house, and I am then left to sweep for floor up afterwards. It seems like such a simple task for someone to do before coming into the house. But I realize that with boys in the house, I am going to be doing a bit of sweeping as they grow up. I just hate it is all.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite dish to cook is mom's meatloaf. It never comes out just like hers, but it's close. My second is our families potato salad. It's a dill and not a sweet potato salad, I love it! Another dish I love is also a family favorite, it's Tuna Macaroni Salad, Yummy, I believe you can find it on my site, or on Julesong's site also.
My favorite restaurant when I was a child was Bob's Big Boy! Loved it, now I have several. I love the Olive Garden, A good fish house is wonderful, and I enjoy German restaurants. Mo's at the beach is another one I enjoy.
