Reviewed Harry & Davids Sweet and Hot Pepper and Onion Relish Clone

"I live in Wyoming and don't have a H&D store close by. Being high altitude, I do have to boil it for about 4 hours before adding pectin and canning but it's so worth the time."

Shared Recipe Spicy Ginger Pork in Lettuce Leaves (Wraps)

"From "Food and Wine" magazine, September 2006 ed. I decreased the amount of oil used. This does require quite an inventory of ingredients, but it is worth it!"

    Reviewed Oreo Balls

"Amazing! I used a food processor to pulse and mix everything together. Next time, I would melt the chocolate in smaller batches to do a few at a time. I used a double boiler and the chocolate started to get clumpy, making my oreo balls less pretty but just as delicious!"

    Reviewed Ricotta Cheese Cookies

"The dough was too sticky to use my cookie scoop so I opted for a butter-sprayed cake pan. The dough was too salty for my tastes and my bf said it needed more frosting. It was more cake-like but still seemed to be missing something. It has potential so, if I were to make this again I would add almond extract in the batter and slivered almonds on ..."

    Reviewed Kittencal's Spinach & Four-Cheese Manicotti (Vegetarian)

"I changed the recipe slightly for ease and meat-eating preferences. I cut the mannicotti noodles in 1/2, layered them in the dish with filling like lasagna and only used 1/2 the marinara before baking. While baking covered for 25 minutes, I fried 1lb ground pork with 1Tbsp italiian seasoning, 1 tsp garlic, simmered in the reserved 1/2 marinara and ..."

    About Me

I am completely a Northwest girl growing up in WA, UT, ID, and OR and most recently transplanted in WY. I am a "double duck", receiving both my bachelors and masters at the University of Oregon. With my Taurean personality, I enjoy good food, and so I love trying new recipes. My husband is starting to get into it and not just to shock his family that he now eats more than just ramen or other "box" foods.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite restaurant Old Chicago's, authentic italian, and all other comfort foods and anything with garlic.

I have yet to develop dishes for which I'm famous for although I've always had a knack for desserts including huckleberry chocolate chip cookies (maybe I'll remember how to make those and post the recipe someday).
