My name is Lori and I am originally from a small town in Nebraska, but now live in St. Joseph, Missouri. My heart will always remain in NE though. My family consists of 1 son, he is studying to be a Pharmacist in KC and I have 1 cat. My son loves to bake, his favorite food is cheesecake.
I am a preschool teacher and I absolutely love it! I strive to be the best teacher that I can be.
I am a pretty well rounded person, I love to cook, read, watch funny movies and funny t.v. shows, play tennis, play volleyball, play golf and gardening of any kind. Teaching and cooking are my passions.
Speaking of funny t.v. shows, that is how I came to pick my name deliciousdish. It came from a Saturday Night Live skit. Molly Shannon, Alec Baldwin and another actress. They had a radio program called The Delicious Dish. If you ever get a chance to see it, it's a positive hoot!
Food was always important in my life but I didn't learn much from my Mother, whom I love dearly, she was a teacher also and didn't have much time to cook or teach me. Don't get me wrong, what she made was always good and I think she knows a lot more culinary skills then I thought. It's just cooking is not her passion like mine. Most of what I learned was from the food network. They taught me so many techniques and how to use herbs and try many different things. I've found so many wonderful recipes here and from other sites, but Recipe Zaar has turned out to be my favorite. Thanks so much to all of you for your wonderful recipes!
