    About Me

    I'm an avid recipe collector. I have too many cookbooks and need some restraint in that regard.  I'm working on my genealogy, which I began by trying to track down all four of my grandparents. I cook for the creative joy of it!Cool

    As a bride I taught myself to cook using Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking.  Years later I went to cooking school! I own three (3) copies of Mastering..., 2 are ragged from use. The third copy came from a used book store. I'd like to keep it in pristine condition till the others fall apart. 

    I once won a chili recipe contest and after winning it, our church group didn't want me to compete anymore. Due to my win, I was relegated to a judge-ship for further competitions.

    Favorite Foods

    Nothing much I don't like to eat or cook, but I do have sensitivities to seafoods, sea bass, scallops.Cry Ah well, you can't eat everything.

    I've gotten fairly proficient at bread baking - all sorts of breads, and I don't remember the last time I bought any from the supermarket.

    A favorite restaurant called the Tinderbox is located in Flagstaff, AZ.
