    About Me

retired social worker, moved to spain from the north of england 6 years ago and love it here. Fantastic climate and good seasonal food - not so easy to get out of season or specialist foods, so recipes can be limited - unlike the UK where everything is available all year! Eating out in Spain is fantastic value with lots of fresh fish. the climate is wonderful. 29 degrees today 16th November, and sun, sun, sun. There is so much to do here - almost any activity or hobby is catered for - and there is a really good social scene..I don't like Brits who move here then moan all the time because it isn't like the UK - surely that's the point?
I speak reasonably good Spanish and make a mean paella!

I like Delia Smith' and Jamie Oliver recipes and get my new recipes from Good Housekeeping

    Favorite Foods

We're getting into Moroccan food and a recent trip to Seville Granada and Cordoba has given us some new North African tastes to explore. Our first love is Italian food, bnut we like to experiment with different cuisines. That said, the taste of Beautifully cooked lamb from the north of England or Wales is unbeatable!
