    Reviewed Dolmathes (Stuffed Grape Leaves
    Handle
     |  (1 person found this helpful) |  By evelyn/athens

"I made the recipe as written and had no problems, but thought the flavor was lacking. Maybe more lemon juice, some garlic or salt. I really washed the grape leaves overnight so there was no trace of brine left. The sweet taste of the currants over powered the other favors. Tip: For getting the Grape leaves out of the jar. Drain the liquid and ..."

    Reviewed Quick Chicken Mole
    Handle
     |  By cookiedog

"I'm not a huge fan of mole but my partner is. I've always been intimidated by the complexity of mole but this one is relativly easy and turned out great. I used skinned thighs rather than the whole chicken and jalapenos with 1/4 t of chipolte powder. This recipe is definatly a keeper. With a guacomole salad, white rice and plantains, it was a birt..."

Reviewed Cherry Crisp Using Fresh/Frozen Cherries
    Handle
     |  By hermioneg

"I reduced the sugar to a 1/2 cup and used fresh bing cherries. There was way too much topping and not enough juice/liquid to crisp the crust. It tasted pretty good but next time I'll try anothr recipe. It would work better with frozen cherries than fresh I think."

     |  By That Napa Chicken Ranch

"I didn't have chorizo so I used kielbasa and added chipolte pepper, thyme and cumin. It is a quick and easy soup the family loved. The orange of the sweet potatos and the green of the spinach really made for a colorful presentation."

    Handle
     |  By Poker Roach

"The claws were a big hit and very simple to make. The chipolte-lime dip was too runny and so I ended up whipping it. It was certainly different-some raved about it while others thought it too strange, like spicey ice cream. I'm making it again but this time, I'm going to add the chipolte pepper to the batter and maybe do a fruity salsa to go wi..."

"The amount of fat in this recipe was overwhelming. The flavor was good, but even though I cut the butter down to 1/4 lb, it was still way to much."

"I had problems with this recipe, starting with the canned crushed tomatoes. I don't usually buy this product so I'm unfamiliar with it. The can was labeled crushed tomatoes but was nothing but puree, so I had no way to drain it. The grouper was well cooked before the peppers were even slightly soft. The one good thing I can say is the sauce wa..."

"I can't say enough about this recipe. It has become a staple in my household. I've served it as an appetizer, on a picnic and even put the leftovers in lunch boxes. It's the only way kids will eat brussel sprouts. I even took them to my mechanic, whom I had met in a grocery store line on Christmas Eve and was teasing me about this gross vegetable..."
