    Reviewed Mexican Tortilla Chicken Soup

"I really liked this recipe as a starting point. I've made it as posted with homemade stock, with boxed stock and with additions. As posted it's good but yeah, mild even with jalepeno in it. I always do my own thing with seasonings as I think most people do. I used Goya Sazon in this, a dried herb salt free blend as well.
    I've also made this""

    About Me

I have been employed at a giant retail chain--begins with a W, you know the one--for 14 years.
I run a sporting goods area. Music tastes run to alternative and rock. Movies I prefer are indie, comedies-romantic and stupid, sci-fi, horror and action. Basically anything but weepy drama stuff:) I like reading, cooking of course and gardening. I really like to cook for others and convince my friends to try stuff they normally wouldn't try. Due to my job in customer service my pet peeve is general lack of common sense and the "could you start my orange?" approach to life.

    Favorite Foods

2008 Update: Trying to eat better this year. I will still serve my baking fetish by cooking for my friends and coworkers. I'd say family too but dear little brother Tim is home in New Mexico and a head chef at a resort, so he can make due on his own:LOL:

I'm very pleased to say that within the past 5 years I've tried and liked more veggies that I never would have eaten before. Don't know if my pallet has changed or what but it is kind of surprising and has allowed for me to try recipes and food combos I would have never looked at before.

I could eat turkey and stuffing every other day.
At work I am asked for lemon bars, New York cheesecake and brownies. The brownies mainly because I make them very gooey and fudgelike. I love The Cheesecake Factory and the gigantic menu and Kabuto's, a hibachi style place. They serve bananas sauteed with butter and brown sugar, so simple and so good. My favorite dessert is tiramisu.
