"I made this for Thanksgiving and it was de-licious! Everyone in the family enjoyed it and it was so easy to make, we are planning to make more for Christmas. My pre-made pie shell was kind of small and this recipe made more filling than would fit so I just put the extra in a dish with the crumb topping and that was almost better."

"This is a favorite at our house. The melding of basil and onions with the sweet peaches is amazing. Wonderful flavor. For best results, take no shortcuts. Especially, use real onions not dehydrated onions or onion powder (made that mistake only once! - when I didn't realize I was out of real onion until I had already started cooking.)"

    LinMarie says:

"This was a bit of summertime heaven in winter. I made and froze the filling last summer when I had fresh peaches. The filling was delicious. My bottom crust was not fully cooked but I blame that on my lack of pie crust skills, not on the recipe. When I do it again though, I'll just do a top crust."

    LinMarie says:

"I liked that these were not oversweet but not too plain. However, I did not like the texture and they stuck horribly to the muffin liners. I won't be making them again but if I did I'd add a touch of vanilla and/or nutmeg to add depth to the flavor."

     |  32 Reviews  |  By * Pamela *
    LinMarie says:

"I bought a large supply of chicken breasts on sale and used this and two other "dump" recipes to put them in the freezer. Makes for an easy and tasty meat serving at dinner. It cooks quicker when I remember to take the chicken from the freezer in time for it to thaw, but that rarely happens. So, I usually end up baking from frozen and it works ..."
