    Reviewed Black Forest Dump Cake
    Handle
     |  By Theresa/ Thunderbird

"5/5 did not prefer this cake at all. Maybe because we used Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Cake Mix instead of devils food. It was overcooked and dry and the only saving grace was the fruit. We have made other "dump" cakes previously and for some reason this was just not good, probably the mix or else should only cook 25-30 mins."

"I am not from Jacksonville and do not know what the Beach Road chicken is but this recipe was excellent. Added the powdered milk and sugar and 5/5 loved them and all agreed these were "like creamy restaurant peas". Will also use this recipe for other creamy veggies like onions, spinach, etc... Thanks Braunda. "

"Excellent, great for guests and we dumped the butter in first after reading the 1st reviewer's serendipitous discovery. Used Guinness stout for a definitive flavour and this is probably why 2/5 thought it was a bit "sour" like sour-dough bread which 3/5 adored. Will probably use a lighter beer next time to experiment for a less "sour" background..."

"Absolutely Heavenly! Incredible, Muy delicioso, The best ever, I-can't-believe-I-ate-the-whole-thing, "could eat the whole thing in one sitting" pound cake. We added 3 tsp orange extract and increased vanilla extract to 3 tsp as well. If you like pound cake you will adore and cherish this recipe forever! Thanks 1Steve and of course, The King."

     |  By Bogey'sMom

"This recipe inspired us to try the canned corned beef but in the end modified by adding thawed frozen baby carrots and potatoes cut small to the bacon grease saute as well as used all the bacon grease for the saute and not just 2 Tbs, and cooking in two bottles of guinness beer with lots of salt, pepper, and celery seed. With changes turned out w..."

"Unfortunately, this had a bitter background taste which we tried to counter with a tsp of vanilla extract, but would not make again without further modification. Good texture and volume."
