"Very simple, very easy! Sometimes I'd make it with crushed garlic clove if I feel like it, but the powdered garlic works perfectly well. Cremini or white or baby bella mushrooms.. all work. I do add a dash of cracked black pepper. I find this a great meal for a weekend lunch, accompanied by a salad. (Or a side for a dinner."

"On the plus side: easy to make, and easy to do as a whole food item for breakfast or dinner. BUT, I'd add some members of the allium family, and some ground pepper in the future. Did not today, but this would be good. However, as far as modifications I did do: Used a small dollop of coconut oil instead of the Con-Agra Pam, and I used whole mil..."

"I made a half-recipe and discovered at the last minute that I was lacking black beans per se, but I did have refried black beans... substituted them in. This was excellent! Otherwise followed recipe exactly (minus the fresh cilantro which my grocery was out of -- the cilantro would have been a great additional touch. A good solid and tasty sou..."

"It worked! They felt slimy when I went to rinse off the vinegar, but perhaps the vinegar brought that to the surface, and it all washed away! Mind you, I didn't mind the slime, but it will be nice to serve these to guests without having to worry about their tolerance of slime. Excellent idea!"

"Yum! Nice and simple, too! Other than doubling the garlic (I'm just a garlic fiend.... and adding a little cracked black pepper, I made this as you said. Served this on a little leaf lettuce. The criminis had a nice body to them, and this is going to be a repeat around here. I can think of a lot of things this could be complementarily serve..."

"This was lovely! (I made this for the January 2011 Veg/n swap and thought I' had come by to write a review, but oversight... Anyhow, it made a perfect dipping sauce for steamed artichokes, as well as a great salad dressing, as well as a topping over a dish of ocean perch. Very versatile!"

"It was great. I had a somewhat smaller rib eye steak and adjusted accordingly for time. I also used oyster mushrooms and a few slices of a white onion instead of shiitake and shallot (I''m stuck at home by this Weather thing, so buying ingredients isn't quite gonna happen! What I got inspiration from was the skillet portion of this meal. Verrr..."

"Quite good! I added a little less salt (that's just me and a little less oil, cuz I like to emphasize tang. And a touch less honey because I am devoid of the sweet touth, apparently. This is GREAT. Made for Veg'n Swap January 11, and ready to make again!"

"Excellent, I like my guac chunky. Used a white onion instead of Spanish. I went for the lower end of the heat and added only half the salt (probably could have used less. Used chipotle Tobasco instead of regular, just an all round nicer flavor. Used lime instead of lemon. I also added fresh cilantro stalks, chopped up. Letting the rest of i..."

"I love this! This one is NOT part of my Veg'n Swap review this month, but I just had to stop by and say wonderful. I live with a kitchen designed by someone who apparently never cooked in a kitchen a day in his life (vintage late 60's, no space, no outlets to speak of, three doors that bang into each other... So your recipe is NEEDED!"
