"I was sure I had rated this previously, but apparently not. It's a wonderful dish. I add mushrooms to the marinade and cook them with steak. I think tofu would work well too in terms of bulking out the meat."

"Fantastic recipe Evelyn. I followed the recipe pretty closely, except I used a meaty hambone instead of hocks, marjoram instead of the thyme and at the very last minute I discovered we didn't have any red wine. Shock horror there, lol.
I also used ordinary stock, which on reflection I could have watered down slightly. I saut?ed everything tog..."

"When you're looking for a vegan baking recipe, you really need it to be full of the goodstuff. So, when you see two cups of sugar, 1 cup of oil.. everything should be good. And it was! I lined the pan based on some other reviews, and instead of nuts which I have to avoid, I used vegan chocolate chips. Really, really moreish."

"Pretty good recipe and easy to make. It's probably just me but there was flour everywhere afterwards! I did have to cook for much longer than the recipe stated.. about 10 extra minutes in total. They were still doughy raw after the stated time."

"I have just made this as a trial run for DH's birthday lunch on Sunday. It is excellent - very moist, nice crumb, not too dense. I served it with a vegan white chocolate ganache icing and am decorating it with banana chips. Thanks for the recipe! So nice to have a winner on my first shot."

"Evelyn, I have had this recipe in my files since forever. Well a very long time. Together with pork chops, mashed sweet potato it was a very well rounded meal. I made it for dinner tonight since it has two of DS's favourite ingredients - chickpeas and tomatoes. It's such a lovely clean tasting dish, I can see it being repeated often. Due to being ..."

"Really delicious recipe. Thank you so much for posting.
I made them as directed, but I added a handful of sultanas and used skinny milk.
I particularly like how adaptable they would be. You could flavour with orange or lemon zest, any kind of dried fruit, grated peat or apple, any spice really.. the options are endless.

"This is a good way to use up strawberries if you have a glut. I liked that it was relatively simple to make. Next time I think I will either use less sugar or up the strawberry amount as it is a bit cloying to me even diluted. Overall, it is a very nice different non-alcoholic drink that would be a welcome alternative at a party I think. Since no..."

"Dear Evelyn, this was just delicious and very easy to assemble. I put on a CD and was bopping around the kitchen. Unless I am blind, I think you've skipped where to put the scallions in but I folded them in with the feta. I used chard instead of spinach and it was really very good. Also, I forgot the dill.. but there you have it. There was plenty ..."

"These are an easy and efficient way to get a chocolate fix. You would never believe that they don't have actual chocolate in them. Really delicious. I especially enjoy that you can clean up in the time it takes to bake them. Just wonderful. Thank you M&M's mom for posting such a great recipe."
