"Very good- a different flavor for tacos. I am used to making spicier fillings, but this was a nice change of pace. Like others have mentioned before, I did not cook as long as your recipe stated. Maybe 5 minutes total on high heat. I think it would dry out the chicken breast to cook so long. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. Served w..."

"Deliciously different tamales. The squash keeps the masa very moist. Easy if you do it in steps. Doubled the recipe and froze half. The rest are going to a potluck at work. Thanks for a great recipe."

"Yummy. Smoky from the ham hock. I omitted the chorizo because my husband is not a fan, and they were still great. I mashed up some of the beans with a potato masher- just personal preference. Also added a little cumin and chile powder. "

"Very good basic recipe. I used half the amount of sugar and substituted half agave syrup. Also used half the butter and equal amounts of canola oil. Sorry, Ina I just couldn't make myself use all butter and all regular sugar. ( I'm sure it would be delectable for special occasions, though! Added some frozen corn kernels (defrosted and they ..."

"Very tasty and quick to prepare. I used tri tip beef. Also, I used Asian chili paste with garlic and only used about 2 teaspoons as it is very spicy. ( I like spicy food, but 1T would have been too spicy for me! Also mad a slurry of about 2 t.cornstarch and water and added it at the end to thicken the sauce a bit. Delicious with steamed Jasmi ..."
