"I threw all the ingredients (minus the oil in the slow cooker. It was watery, like you mentioned, but at the end, I just added 1 cup of mashed white beans. I've been vegan for quite awhile now, but due to the liquid smoke, it tasted like I was eating a pot roast : I've never had split pea soup before, but I'll definitely have it again! Yum!"

"This is delicious - I omitted the oil and sauted my onion, celery and garlic in EVOO cooking spray to lighten it up and make it a Weight Watchers Core recipe. The dill definitely makes this over the top. Thanks!"

"I am vegan, so I left out the parmesan and rind. I don't care for sage or rosemary, so I used about 10 fresh basil leaves (chiffonade. This turned out so wonderful, so flavorful, so satisfying! It took me about 2 hours from start to finish, but it was so worth it! "

"I decided if I was going to make this, I'd take the time to make the stock, too. I am so glad I did! Wow! It was fantastic! This is a sure-fire winner! Thanks, Melissa!"

"I really liked her idea of stretching the meat with beans. I'm counting WW points, so I needed to make it healthier. Instead of mashing the beans with olive oil, I put them in the food processor with one egg white. The egg white allowed them to stay together wonderfully. Thanks so much!"

"I have made alot of different types of salmon cakes and these are by far the tastiest! You can taste all the elements and I can't even decide which one outdoes the other - the bacon, the potato and the onion all play up the flavor. This is my absolute favorite. And who'da'thunk about putting the baked potato in? Awesome! Thanks again, Melissa ..."

"My sous chef (9 year old daughter made these meatballs and they turned out delicious! They have an unusual flavor, but it's very comforting. Next time we will double the sauce, though. I didn't have any couscous, so we chose to have barley instead - very nice neutral that accented the sauce. We are definitely adding this to our monthly rotati ..."
