"Just watched for a second time. Guy adds heavy cream which appears to
be about 1-1/2 cups. Don't know why 1-1/2 cups of half & half appears
in the recipe in addition to the cream. Believe it should be either/ or, cream or half & half. I'll try it with the reduced amount of liquid, as it seems to be enough to carry a pound of pasta."

"Perfect! A "Frog Eye" salad with no added sugar and no cooking other than the pasta.I often make the traditional recipe for large groups and find it's a kid pleaser that adults love. I subbed acini di pepe for the orzo --couldn't find cheesecake pudding so had to sub french vanilla. Recipe adapts well to other canned, fresh or frozen fruits ..."

"I recently ordered an apple peeler from a web site, having no hope I??d made a smart purchase. El Wrongo. It works like a charm, and I had 8 cups of peeled, sliced Granny Smith apples in no time flat. I think I read this tip on Zaar, and I'd give the chef credit if I knew who penned it: If you slice the apples into a bowl of lemon-lime soda, ..."

"Just excellent! Made this with Meyer lemons for a mid course at ourannual Easter brunch...I intended to garnish each serving with fresh mint, but I found thyme in bloom in the herb garden, so used it instead. Simply lovely and refreshing!"

"A last minute decision found me at Walmart buying quart size Mason jars, a red/green plaid fabric remnant to line the tops & ribbon to tie on the instruction cards. I found inexpensive bulk spices at Henry's (a Wild Oats type market added whole allspice & a sprig or two of fresh rosemary from the garden to the mixture, as it looks like evergr..."

"Perfect! I was making chili and thought these might be a good alternative to the usual corn bread. I always add beer to my chili, so I had a home for the remainder of the can.I also used chopped fresh chives in place of the onion and a tsp. of cayenne. Really quick & yummy recipe, Donna!"

"Hooray for Hollywood! Every local market had King Crab on special this weekend, and there are some huge, fat legs waiting in my freezer for the traditional "Spare the Bird" Day. I found this wonderful sauce recipe in a Junior League Cookbook years ago and have made it often for lobster or crab feasts. I think you could even thicken it a bit, a..."

"I put my 4th of July houseguest to work poking holes in the cherries. Bicker, bicker?.??Are you SURE you put 4 holes in each one? If 4 are good, 'am' 8 better?" HA! We added all the other fine ingredients, and it's been brewing away in the back corner of my counter ever since. Decided we'd call it "6 months" and just this week poured ..."

"The third recipe in our Cuisinart 4th of July ice cream marathon. I had a bag of bing cherries on hand which weren't exactly fine snacking quality (not quite hard & sweet enough to suit me. Ah ha..we turned them into ?ice cream bait?, and no complaints were registered. This wasn't the easiest recipe we tried because of the cooked custard a..."
