"Just made this for the second time. I used whitewheat flour, reduced the oil to 3/4 cup (adding back in 1/4 cup of the pineapple juice to make up the liquid volume, reduced the sugar to 1-1/2 cups, blended the pineapple to pulp, and added 1/2 cup chopped dates. All minor alterations, but my family loves it like this. Definitely a "keeper" recipe."

"Interesting dish. I tripled the recipe since I was cooking for 12, and stewed the chicken (one whole chicken + 2 lbs of breasts with onion, garlic and rosemary, reserving the broth for another meal. I substituted cabbage for the bok choy--not an exact substitute, but it turned out okay. I tossed the salad with about half the dressing, and left th..."

"Okay, here are my observations: These are fun, tasty, chewy, interesting, barely sweet cookies, but they're also not terribly attractive. The top comes out pale (the bottom and edges brown quickly, and when you break a cookie the inside looks sort of "hairy"--which is actually the fine little dandelion petals. I made them with whitewheat flour (w..."

"Great little cookie! My pregnant daughter who can't eat gluten or sugar (or dairy! is craving banana pudding, so this is the first stage in creating a gluten-free, non-dairy, non-sugar, no artificial sweeteners banana pudding for her. I used coconut flour in place of soy flour, and 1/2 cup agave nectar + 1/4 cup honey in place of the sugar. Incr..."

"Yum. Great way to use leftover chicken broth and a few spare potatoes! I used Neufchatel cheese instead of cream cheese (lower in fat, and used only about 5 or 6 ounces instead of 8 to bump down the calorie count a bit. It was great."

"Super for when you NEED chocolate cake but can't afford the calories! I ran two Gala apples through my food processors and used the puree in place of the apples and applesauce (about 1-1/4 cups total. Didn't peel the apples. Came out moist and yummy. Thanks!"

"Prepared this for family night this week, but "skinnied it down" by using cooking spray instead of butter, and using 1/2 cup shredded cheddar and 1/4 cup shredded parmesan instead of the 1-1/2 cups of cheddar called for. I also doubled the amount of broccoli in the recipe since my clan likes it, and used a veggie broth instead of chicken broth. Th..."

"Excellent recipe, given 5-stars by the whole extended family after tonight's meal! I tripled the recipe to make three chickens (big crowd, and made the following changes: I reduced the salt significantly (cut it in half, used black pepper instead of white, squirted lemon juice in each chicken's cavity, and inserted 3 garlic cloves and several sp..."

"This was a big hit at family night tonight! I used half the amount of hoison sauce called for since that was all I had, I used cooking spray rather than oil to brown the meat, and I added 6 cloves of garlic (for a double recipe. It was great!"

"I made this for a big family get-together, and it got rave reviews even from those who said they normally hate mulligatawny soup. The only change I made was to sub for the curry powder (don't like curry with 1 tablespoon of the following mix: 1/4 tsp. coriander seeds, 1/8 tsp dried mustard, 1/8 tsp black pepper, 1/8 tsp fennel seeds, 1/8 tsp c..."
