"Really - 1-1/2 TABLESPOONS of salt!?? For Pete's sake, cheese is salty, then adding this much salt, PLUS the salt used in the pasta cooking water is sodium overload!!

That much salt equals 10,000 milligrams of sodium. If six people eat this, that's almost 1700 milligrams of sodium per person. Just from the 1-1/2 tablespoons of salt. This dish a ..."

"I would guess that this serves four people. Two teaspoons of salt add 5000 milligrams of sodium. And more added at the end. That means that each serving has around 1300 - 1400 mg of sodium. An entire day's worth of sodium is 2400 mg.

I enjoy Ina's recipes, but she uses way, WAY too much salt."

"This is a wonderful cornbread. It's very moist and delicious. I used corn flour instead of wheat flour because of a gluten allergy. And I loved Joyce Lamont's broadcasts. Did you know there's a new cookbook out by her? Check Amazon for it."

"It can be dangerous to your health to cook food in grocery bags. They can leach chemicals into the food and the air, since they are not made to be food safe. Cook this recipe in a bag made for cooking instead."

"I wish that Ms. Garten would cut down on the amount of salt in her recipes. American adults are supposed to consume 2500 milligrams of sodium a day, maxiumum. That's the amount in 1 teaspoon of salt. If this recipe really feeds six people, each serving has about 1200 to 1400 milligrams of sodium, at least half of a day's total amount! The olives ..."
