    Reviewed Rice Pilaf
     |  By Darla2

"Never a fan of those salty, nasty rice pilafs I encountered in life, I never considered making one before. This is super and beautiful. I used homemade veggie broth instead of chicken, left out the salt and added herbs. The way the rice was cooked was great also. What a wonderful pilaf!"

"Pretty and tasty. Also simple to make. I used cooked pinto beans as we had no garbanzos. I put in more garlic and cayenne than asked for and omitted the salt. And used low sodium veggie broth. It was very good and could take many variations."

"Was somewhat dull tasting. We want to make this again and add onions. It tasted better after sitting overnight. Good use for leftover buckwheat groats. Never made anything like this dish before."

"Rather dull tasting. We used good tasting pasta so that helped. Needed more vegetables, more cabbage, onion, garlic, broccoli, etc. Although it did taste better the next day."
