Reviewed Easy Homemade Almond Paste (Marzipan

     |  (1 person found this helpful) |  By Kittencalskitchen

"Be careful! I'm surprised no one ever mentioned this before but that recipe is for Marzipan. Almond paste and Marzipan are not, repeat not the same thing!. Almond paste has less sugar and does not contain egg whites. Almond paste is a baking ingredient. Marzipan is more of a decorating or candy making item as in edible fruit shaped items, as it is..."

"I find the title of this recipe very misleading. Basically it's a recipe for making standard whipped cream topping. A substitute for Cool Whip it is not! Cool Whip reacts very differently in most recipes. The chemicals and such in it make it very stable, so it doesn't turn back into liquid like whipped cream does when it gets folded into a dessert..."

"I have been making this same pie for at least 30 years. The recipe is the same one I have, word for word but from a different source and different title. The recipe I have is called "Old fashioned Pumpkin Pie". It came from a paperback cookbook my mom got when I was in grade school (I'm now 58 years old. She could never remember where she got the..."

"I would have given it 5 stars, but the milk amount is just too far off. Everyone seems to be having a problem with the amount listed. I know it says "or more as needed for a smooth batter", but I had to at least double it not to end up with the consistency of a heavy muffin batter. Once I adjusted the milk, the results were very good. I have never..."

Reviewed Craze-E Potato Salad Boats - Kid Friendly
    Handle
     |  By Diana #2

"This was a fun recipe and very cute for the kids. The colors and flavors worked very well together. The only thing I didn't like was the hard boiled eggs. I can only tolerate hard boiled if they are mixed with mayo in an egg salad, otherwise I just can't eat them. But that is just personal taste. This is a keeper."

"This was very simple to put together. The flavors went well together, and I found it very refreshing. The nuts added a nice crunch to the salad and was a good flavor compliment to the strawberries. The color combination was ascetically pleasing as well. A real keeper. I will definately make this one again!"

"I really liked this combination. The flavors worked well together and it was not very difficult to put together on my tight schedule. I did have to cheat and use regular butterscotch ice cream topping as I could not find sugar free or even regular butterscotch syrup. Perhaps a note in the description or at the end of the recipe on what brand you u..."

    Reviewed Queso Con Gouda
    Handle
     |  By PaulaG

"This was very good and easy to make. The next time I will use all regular Gouda, as I don't care for the flavor of the smoked kind. The name of this recipe also puzzles me. As far as I know "Queso" means cheese. Gouda is a cheese so basiclly cheese with cheese? I think there needs to be a descriptive word following queso in the title."
