"I have made this bread exactly as the recipe is written, but yesterday I made it using strawberry puree, pecans and just for fun, I tossed in 1/4 cup dark chocolate bits. Either way, this is a great recipe. Everyone loved it. Thanks for posting."

"Great and easy recipe. I used my Kitchen Aid with the dough hook as arthritis keeps me from being able to knead by hand. Also substituted whole wheat bread flour for half the 5 cups flour. I did not know that spraying with water would result in a harder crust. Thanks for the tip and for posting this recipe. I'll be making this over and over. DH L..."

"Fantastic! This is the perfect cassoulet recipe. Not hard to make and very true to the traditional in taste. Ii made just a couple of substitutions...used canned Great WHite Northern beans as that is what I had on hand and instead of duck breast I used left over smoked pheasant. "Very good. I added a bit more corn starch to the pan juices after roasting the chops and it made a great tasting sauce over the chops. DH really like the chops, but the rice was kind of bland, next time I'll increase the cinnamon and maybe add some nutmeg or ground cloves. Thanks for posting."

"I really liked this salad, but DH wasn't wild about it. He thought there should have been some kind of lettuce in it. We both really liked the dressing, though. I will make this again, but next time I will add some kind of crunchy greens...maybe hearts of romaine to keep DH smiling. I did substitute toasted sesame oil for the canola oil."
